Let’s see… well, only two more “class sessions” left until I get my MBA!  It is a single course in a “time-compressed” format – two weekends, Fridays and all day Saturdays. The books we have to read before class are extremely bad. Not just a little bad, but almost physically excrutiating to read. They’re filled with pop philosophy and bad metaphors and even worse examples. But, you have to do what you have to do, I suppose.  The last day of class is July 29th! Woo Hoo! BOOYAH!

Janet, Jonah and I went to Scottsdale for the 4th of July “weekend”.  We drove out in her Cayenne and stayed at the Gainey Ranch Hyatt for a few days. Due to a mix-up at American Express (they lost our confirmation, but the hotel still had it), they upgraded us to a HUGE suite with a 1000 sq.ft. balcony. We watched the fireworks from the balcony and had a great time. Jonah loves their pools and water slide, and we had a tough time getting him out to leave.

Right before we left, I had my first major crash on my bike. It was on the dedicated trail (no cars involved). I was actually slowing down (only doing 15mph or so) and I hit some sand. I was prepared for the sand, and was turning only slightly, when I hit a small rock that twisted my front wheel enough to get it loose in the sand. That was it… and I went smashing into the ground. Had a nice gouge in my knee, a scraped chin and cheek, a huge nasty bruise on my hip, and probably a minor concussion. I have to get a new helmet, as this one probably saved me from massive head trauma. Wear Your Helmet! The bike is back in the shop, and won’t be ready until Wednesday (had to get some parts re-aligned).

The weekend before that, I was in Seattle, working with Steve and Harlyn on CheatCodes. We’ve got some great things planned for the site, so keep an eye out!
